I just paid off our vacation  and I received an envelope from my AAA agent. It just had a printout of our itinerary and a AAA vacations Must See-Must Do How to Guide.

Does Disney send the AAA Diamond parking pass? What else should we have received? I thought that there would be more stuff in there :confused3

Thanks :flower:

If you just paid off your vacation, you will not have anything much besides the invoice and the Must see/must do guide.

In a couple of weeks, your documents will be send to your agent. Those documents will have your AAA diamond pass (parking and discount) and all the vouchers you will need for your trip.

I usually wait until that time to explain alot to my clients. That way, it is pretty fresh in their minds when they leave for their trip. Plus if you have magical express vouchers, they sometimes don't arrive until a week or 2 before you leave.

Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, you can pm me.
Have a great trip!!! :flower:

I just received my packets from my AAA travel agent yesterday. In the packet was:

1. Magical express booklet with tags (2 tags per person)
2. Luggage tags with Cinderella's castle (1 per person)
3. Voucher for hotel room / park passes. It also had my special room requests printed on it.
4. Voucher for VIP Lounge at MK
5. AAA Diamond discount cards for each adult
6. Card explaining blackout dates for VIP parking
7. Paper describing the whole package we had booked.

I think that's it. Everything was in a nice transparent plastic AAA/Disney envelope.

I just signed up for a vacation package through AAA. In my docs it mentions a "lounge". What is this, where is it, what happens there??? Also, could someone explain the AAA parking pass to me? I am new at this and there's so much info I want to get it straight in my head.

Also, what is the AAA discount good for in WDW? Food? Souvenirs? Anything?

Thanks!

The AAA VIP Lounge is located in Tommorrowland @ the Magic Kingdom. You need a voucher to get in, which is inlcuded when you receive your documents. The lounge has comfy couches and chairs and usually has a Disney movie playing on the TV. You also get a beverage (ie soda, water).
I have visited the lounge a few times. Usually the staff aren't very friendly but it is a nice place to relax (it's air conditioned) and rest. You can stay as long as you'd like. From what I understand, if you booked a 2006 AAA Disney vacation package, the AAA VIP Lounge will also have storytelling. You will have to make reservations for this. The storytelling is ONLY for those booked on a Dining package or above (ie premium). The storytelling is on Mondays and Thursdays @ 5:10pm, 5:50pm, and 6:30pm. It last about 20 minutes and you will need to make reservations no less that 24 hours in advance. Blackout dates do apply.

If you have a rental car, the AAA Diamond parking pass allows you park in the "AAA section" of the parking lots which is right next to handicapped. Very close to the front gate. W/in walking distances in most cases. There are some blackout dates to use the parking pass. When driving into the parks, you need to look for the lane w/ the AAA Diamond sign.

The AAA Diamond discount card, gives you discounts at many restuarants (most in DTD), recreation (golf, water mouse rentals, etc), tours, and 10% off all purchase (restricitions apply) at the World of Disney in DTD. When you get your documents, the AAA diamond discount card will be w/ them and will have a list of places offering the discount.

Hope this helps. Any more questions, ask away!

Just wanted to add we loved the lounge at MK. My boys are already asking to book our next trip thru AAA so we can go back. It was a very nice QUIET spot to relax. My dd was asleep in her stroller and they let me bring her in. She slept, we drank our free Coke, my boys went on Buzz and I stayed with DD in the AC. It was very peaceful. We were at the MK on a EMH day and it was nice to escape the crowds and noise. Look for the lounge just to the right of CoP. You have to look for it. But it's a DO NOT MISS IMHO.

Also we loved the Diamond Parking Pass. At Epcot, it was a lot closer to park at the Diamond Lot then walk from the buses. We also used it at AK. We were there first thing in the am so we did have a great parking spot in the Diamond lot. At MGM you have to walk past the bus stop to get to the Diamond lot. But it was nice to just walk out and not have to wait for a bus. So my experience is IF you have a car, don't be afraid to use it with the Diamond Pass esp at Epcot.

You can get your AAA diamond parking pass at your local AAA store. I just walked in and asked for one last year and they gave me 2. Also you can sell your parking pass on e-bay. Sold them after your trip. One sold for $50.00 the other for $25.00. I guess alot of Disney fans don't know they can get them for free at AAA. (I was never asked to show any AAA ID) We also DID NOT book your Disney trip through AAA and still got the passes. They are the bast things to have. :goodvibes

In order to get the pass, you have to either book a package OR purchase tickets in the office. You were pretty lucky that they just gave you one.

I also cannot believe that someone would actually pay $50 for one. In that case, I could pay for my Disney trips 3 times over :teeth:

Pure madness I tell you.

Thanks everyone for the information. I was told when I tried to book thru WDW that only they could give me the DP option. However, on a whim, I contacted the AAA local office and low and behold, not only could they give me a discount on the 7 night stay and tickets, I could get the DP. I was thrilled. The extras from AAA (the lounge, the parking pass, etc) just make this an even sweeter deal.

Thanks again. I look forward to WDW even more now!!!!
