I'M THINKING OF GETTING AN ANNUAL, THOUGH WE DON'T GO THAT OFTEN, FOR THE DISCOUNTS. BUT, OTHER THAN ADMISSION PRICE, WHAT DIS. CAN I GET FROM A YEARLY PASS THAT I CAN'T GET FROM AAA? IS IT WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY FOR THAT REASON ALONE? THANKS.

Thanks for the link for the annual pass. That's why I'm wondering. For example, if we stayed on site, we woudn' t need free parking, I think. What about the hotel and food discounts? Are they the same?

Actually, if you are staying onsite, and have a car,, they charge you to park. I believe it was $6.00 a day the last time I checked,, but I think I saw somewhere that it went up.

From what I have researched, the AP discounts are more than the other discounts generally. Also, you get 20% off merchandise in the shops. I believe also, that tickets bought at the gate with your AP discounts are 15% less than the going rate. I am not sure if you can use it towards the 5 day tickets for the price of 2 days, and that is supposedly an online deal. I couldn't find a way to do it,, but if there is a way,, someone will be along who knows it :)

I don't know if the AP discounts is any more for food than the AA discount tho. They may be the same there.

The max hotel discount on the AP is 30%, but that may not be for the times you want. I did get it for my trip in August for the PBH,, and I got it this past Dec for the RPR,, but I didn't see it available when I tried to book for the RPR or HRH this coming August. I think it depends on the demand of the hotel. With the RPR generally being the least expensive of the three historically,, it tends to book up faster,, and the HRH is popular, so it too books up faster. The trick is to start researching for aph discounts as soon as you are able to start planning your trip. Early bird, and all that ;)

These tips for getting discounts really apply to all the discount rates. Not just the APH discounts :)
