I have learned that I can use my UK version of AAA card to get AAA discounts whilst in America. I am not really interested in all the extras that come with the package (although they would be nice I can do without them), just the overall cost. Bearing that in mind would it be cheaper to book a AAA package or to book things seperately through Disney?
Thanks

We also did the room with a AAA discount and purchased everything else separately. Set up a simple spread sheet and made the comaparison and we saved a fair amount of money. All we are Marriott VIP Club members(its free) which even gave us more of a discount.

Good to know! I am also a AAA member and I'm getting a quote today to see how much a package would cost. I also don't need all the perks that come along with it so maybe I'll just book the hotel through them also.

I just went thru this and saved $500 booking separately vs the AAA pkg deal for the same exact air, hotel, and tickets. And this was compared on the same day, if I had booked AAA 3 weeks earlier the pkg was $900 MORE than what I pd because the airfare had changed so much.
It pays to book separately.

ps-you can get a AAA discount of 10% off the character breakfast at Goofy's kitchen-FYI

I booked my hotel and tickets through AAA but purchased my airfare sep. Knowing what I know now, I would have booked the hotel directly through the hotel (you can still get a AAA discount) and purchased my tickets at the store... the main reason is that now I want to upgrade my room and I am stuck... I HAVE to go through AAA and thier inventory of rooms is depleted... they check when I call to see if anything has opened up but I am at thier mercy and I HATE that. It is frusterating because I can call the hotel and they have what I want available but they can't change my res becase I booked through AAA. :confused3 :confused3 They can only do it on the day I check in... I'll be lucky if they have something available that late in the game.... so book through the hotel so you have the flexibility and control over your res!!
