We leave in 17 days! I picked my documents up from AAA yesterday! Has anyone gone the the storytime they offer , I think at town hall. Was wondering if my DD5 would like it? Should I reserve a time before we go or take our chance at checkin?

I would like to hear peoples opinions.

Yes, your 5 year old will love it. We've done it twice. In 2006, we had the Fairy Godmother, and in 2007, we had Alice. You go into the theatre near Main Street (near Tony's on the right hand side after you enter the park), and the character reads a story to the kids. They sit up front during the story. After the reading is done, there's time for autographs and photos. It's a very nice, relaxing experience.

You need to make a reservation in advance. They will not allow anyone without a reservation or the voucher in, and they do check everything pretty carefully. There are probably only about 20-30 people in the theatre for each storytelling session, so again, you need to call ahead to get in.

They also only offer this on a few days a week; when we went, it was only on Mondays and Thursdays I think, and I'm pretty sure it's not offered on days when there are special events like the hard ticket parties.

We had Aladdin at ours. It was very cute. They let you take pics/video tape the whole thing and the kids were given plenty of time with the character after for autographs and pics. Just make sure you make reservations, the slots fill up.

How did you reserve you're spot?? Where do you call?? Can you do it when you get there or should we do it asap???
TIA

My CAA agent told me I would get the voucher and phone number with my pre-trip documents a few weeks before we travel in April.

Should I be worried about getting a reservation on only 2-4 weeks notice?

Ok yep I justed looked at the voucher- there is a phone number to call- it says call at least 24 hours in advance- I'll call tonight and add any additional details I learn.

Do you have to book a AAA vacation package or just be AAA member to do this? We are AAA members and booked with a AAA rate, but not through AAA.

My agent told me very little but did say it came with my package. I'll have to try to call tomorrow to get a res. We are only there a couple days. Hope there is one we can attend.

Make a reservation

we had peter pan and it was wonderful especially since my boys are huge fans. They even played follow the leader.

It was well worth it!!!

wow this is great. I had no idea. I'm a AAA member and went in to talk to them about the package. i SPECIFICALLY asked if there was anything special available to us as AAA members. They said that somes you discounts on the packages or rooms but that was it. So i think it depends on your travel agent. The ones at my branch are duds. This wasn't the first time they gave me bad info about a trip (andd not just disney).

We got multiply things from our agent. Now we also booked a separate Disney cruise.

On the cruise we got a $50 onboard credit and a Diamond card good for discounts in an onboard store (over certain amount).

In Disney world: we got vouchers for: 5x7 disney photo; a $15 planet hollywood meal voucher; disney story time for each of us; minature golf game for 1; sea raycer get 90 minutes for the price of 60. And a diamond card good for discounts but I have not read where yet.

We also got $25 to spend in AAA travel store.

Not bad. We did not price the vacation anywhere else. I have only lived in this are for 4 years and this is the first time I needed a travel agent. Prior AAA agents were good so that's where we went.

Our agent made all arrangements for us. Tickets for the Christmas Party, Princess Tea, all ADR's. She even called the airline and got us seat assignments as I was worried about flying 2 days before Thanksgiving and not sitting as a family.

Ok sorry I wasn't able to get back sooner- I was at work. Here is the phone number to reserve for storytime- 407-939-7946. They said to pick a monday or thursday- after I picked which day she told me the times available. So we are going on monday november 5th at 6:30pm. You have to book the trip through AAA and then you get the extras. The mini-golf, Diamond card- for preferred parking spaces and additional savings around the world, the sea racer, the planet hollywood and the free 5x7 photopass photo. They give you vouchers for everything and like the previous poster said you have to have the voucher and a reservation to get in. Our TA booked our seating arragments for the plane but I booked all the ADRs but I bet she would have if I had asked!! She was great!!

Just made our reservation. Nov 15 at 4:30. What a busy night for our. Our first night in the park, Liberty Tree Tavern Character dinner at 5:30 then the Christmas Party. We'll be transferring from the Disney Wonder that day. Hope I am not scheduling to much for my daughter.

I noticed some people were wondering if this is a benefit for all AAA members. I believe you have to book the package through AAA to get the voucher for the storytime.

Wait we were told you had to book the DDP package to get it - We just book the regular MYW AAA package without the dining.

I was told you had to book a package through AAA and it had to be Maigc Your Way with DDP. Also, you can call up to 90 days in advance to reserve your spot. I was also told that the days are Mondays and Thursdays.

BTW - my AAA agent is a dud too. I am thinking about transferring to another one but am just worried something will get messed up.
