I just tried to book my disney package with free dining through AAA and it was the same price as disney gave me. When i told the woman this she told me with free dining there is no discount. So asked her then why would i book it with you if there is no incentive. i got silence. lol guess disney will keep my ressie for now. Was wondering does costco or sams club have the same thing no discount with the free dining package?

I don't think you can get any discounted rate with free dining. That's part of the deal. Now if you purchase the dining plan, AAA may be able to give you a discount.

Plus if you book directly through Disney, you'll get your confirmation from them and be able to contact them to make requests for your room.

you cant compound codes / specials aka- you have a AAA discount room and a code comes out for free park hoppers and water parks and discounted rooms - they dont add that onto a aaa discounted room - it is not AAA 's fault- just how the system works at WDW,

Disney doesn't tend to stack discounts - it's like the cruise line. If you have a Disney Visa $50 credit, but then get a Florida Resident discount - you get to choose, one or the other.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that, I can't imagine Disney giving an additional discount after the free dine.

I quite like AAA - the towing and tire fixes are awesome, as well as any discounts I do happen to get.

Sorry to tell you but AAA does not stink - this is the fact of staying at Disney - you cannot stack discounts - you get one only and that would be free dining in this case.

With AAA you would stll get the parking pass they give for closerparking at the parks and some other small perks they offer - but that would be it.

The parking passes are definity worth it. You park right up front and do not need to use the trams at any park. This alone saves you a lot of time coming and going.

I agree AAA stinks when it comes to vacation packages. I love them for my insurance, but last year they qouted me a price for a Disney trip $200 HIGHER than Disney. When I asked them why, they informed me that they now charge a service fee.

Only some aaa's charge extra fees. I was quoted a price last year and well after I had put down my money (paid in full as it was within 45 days) I was then contacted as to how I wished to pay the mailing fee.... Anyway I used a different aaa this year and no fees. Each aaa seems to have their own rules, and you can use any aaa in the country.

I got the 40% code this year and I still booked through aaa because I like the parking pass and the discount card and the story time they give....heck may as well get the extras. If I had booked a day earlier I could have also gotten some other disney month insentive.

This has nothing to do with "AAA Stinks". If you go to ANY travel agency you will get the same deal. Disney wont allow AAA their alotment of rooms with both the discound AND the free dining. Its one or the other. Its really no different than going to a retail store with a 15% of coupon and a 20% off coupon. You'll probably be told that you can't combine coupon's. You'll have to pick one or the other. Like the fine print says, you can't combine this discount offer with any other coupons or discount offers.

This is Disney World's policy with the discounts and it applies to all travel agencies throughout the world. Its really not fair to make a statement like that blaming AAA for something that is out of their control.

The only way you'll get an additional discount is if you go to a small mom and pop local travel agent and they decide that to keep your reservation with them they'll offer you a certain dollar amount off your total. This would come directly out of that TA's commission. I'm not saying it would happen, but thats the only way it would. I doubt that AAA would do something like that nor would any big agency as they do have enough clients to keep them going.

We are going in December and our trip w/ dining at a moderate was about $250 cheaper through AAA.

I am giving up my precious control...I can't log into the WDW site and check stuff myself.. but the money savings is worth it to me, and the extra AAA perks will be nice.

AAA does not stink at all! The AAA discount is saving me close to $400 at the Poly in July, when there is no big promotion like free dining going on. Last year, we saved over $300 at the Poly in July.

Plus, you do get some perks like the Storytime in MK, preferred parking (if that matters to you), and the shopping discount at DTD.

Actually, we could say Disney stinks for not letting us double up the discounts.

I have to say that not all AAA offices charge a service fee, in fact I was unaware that any did that. But, my AAA package that I was able to get for this year is 9 days/8 nights at GF with DDP and MMyW tix for 9 days and fights, I saved almost $1000 on my package. Its all a game of luck.

I took out AAA to save a couple of hundred on our trip this past January - since I have had another discounted rented motel room and I dont recall what I saved, I have had my car jumped, and in June I am saving over a hundred on a two night stay in Jersey...... yup AAA does not stink. Oh yeah I caught a promotion rate and added my husband and college age daughter to the plan for $35 for the year. Knowing my daughter can call for help- priceless!

We are using AAA again this year. They are wonderful as far as I am concerned! There are most likely not going to be discounts when we go so I am happy to get the AAA rate.

O.k. o.k. o take it back AAA doesn't stink. Disney does..lol just kidding i love disney when i called AAA she made it sound like it was there policy she didn;t state it was disney. Thanks for the info people

Sometimes it's just a matter of working with the right AAA office. For the person who incurred a $200 service fee, did you know that you don't need to use your local office? I'm in MA and my AAA TA is in SC. I asked for recommendations for a good AAA TA and that's how I found her.

And to the OP, as everyone else said, you can't stack the discounts. It's either Free Dining or the AAA Discount. That is always the case with any Disney promotion.
