I've read on a few posts that people are now getting stickers on their KTTW as well even though they have the AAA soda mug program. I'm really hoping that this is true, as I hate carrying around the mug with me. Can anyone on the recent cruises on the Magic clarify this for me? I was only hoping to have to lug around my ESPN beer mug!!
Thanks!
Carolyn

We were on the Magic for the May 10th cruise and they were using the sticker program. You will also get your mugs, but we never even unwrapped ours.

That's great news. We did use ours, but either had to lug them around all the time or run back to the cabin whenever we wanted to use them. The sticker thing is much more convenient because you always carry your KTTW.

We were on the Magic May 3rd cruise and *DID NOT* get the stickers on the KTTW cards.

Of course, we didn't use our mugs either so it didn't really bother us and we didn't ask anyone if we were supposed to have them.

In order to get the AAA soda stickers or mug, must you have booked your cruise through AAA? I have AAA but booked mine through a TA because I always do for vacations.

The reservations must have been booked through AAA or must be transferred to AAA.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll know better next time.

Thanks for the answers! I'll keep my fingers crossed that they'll give us the stickers on our KTTW. Otherwise maybe alittle groveling will do!

We booked our trip through AAA. They didn't say anything about a refillable mug to me. The first question I asked when I booked through them was what "freebies" would I get.
Am I supposed to ask her if I get a mug? Do they all do it? What's a kttw??
I'm new, so that's why I have so many questions...sorry.

Thanks!

Your KTTW card is your "Key to the World" card. It is the ID and charge that you will get when you check in for your cruise. It's the same card as you get when you go to Disney World and stay on site. It will also act as your room key.

If you booked through AAA, you will get a card that is inside your cruise document package from Disney. This will give you the free soda mugs for the duration of your cruise. You will simply go to the AAA soda mug table on board and hand over this coupon to receive your free soda mugs.

To further clarify:
It is a paper card mixed in with the regular paper cards in your book of travel documents, and can be easily overlooked. It is sometimes called the AAA Diamond Card. It's in the 'primary' book of travel documents, meaning it is in the book of the one that is listed first in the reservation. I had a card in my documents but my DW did not have one, but it's good for everyone in the cabin. It also entitles you to discounts on purchases in the Mickey Store onboard (above $75) and rentals on Castaway Cay.

On two cruises, they omitted the card in our documents and it was easily verified onboard that I booked thru AAA, although it added additional time to the process of getting a mug. When I received my documents and noticed it was missing, I called our AAA rep and asked her to have it noted in our DCL reservations.

hope that helps

I was just on the May 17th cruise and we also did not get the stickers for our kttw cards. We had to present our mugs but they put the drinks in other cups and poured them into our mugs.

As for getting the mugs when you board, we also didn't need our coupon, the cast member had a list of everyone that was to receive them and you just signed when she gave them to you. Hope this helps.

goodstarr, you can also purchase these mugs. It's not just for AAA people! They get them free for booking through the AAA travel agency, but anyone can buy a mug. You probably knew that, but I wanted to make sure. :)
