AAA Rates

Does anyone know if it is very likely that I could still get a AAA rate once they are gone? (Do they get very many cancellations?) I called Monday to make reservations the first week of Jan. and the AAA rates were gone for my first 2 choices - POR, then CBR. I just didn't know if it would be worth my time calling back to get into the POR.

I would keep calling CRO back. DW and I are staying at POR 12/12 - 12/16. When I first called there were no AAA rates available so I booked at rack rate of $148 taxes included. About two weeks later, on a whim, I called back to see if any AAA rooms were available and to my surprise there were at $118 p/ night taxes included. Save me $120 total. With the lack of room only codes I think this is a good deal. Keep the faith and keep trying. I have read of people calling daily.

Thank You! Went ahead and called them today and they had rooms w/the AAA rate. I was really looking forward to taking the boat into DT Disney for more dinner options.

Your welcome! Glad you were able to get the rates. Keep an eye on www.mousesavers.com for "room only" rates as they might become available between now and your trip. The AP rates came out recently and there may be a slim chance rates for "anyone" will come out also. Past rates have been as low as $79 p/night ($88 w/taxes).

You'll love POR. We stayed last Sept. for the first time and it was great. The boat ride to DTD is very nice. Also, check out the piano player, Bob Jackson in the River Roost lounge at night. He's unbelievable.
