AAA rates for fall 2012

I just randomly called to WDW to see if AAA rates were available for our stay Oct 14-20 2012 and they were! I saved $112.65 on a premium site! Now I just need site recommendations!

Woo Hoo....we will be there too! I got the AAA discount 2 weeks ago.....for Oct. 15-November 3 2012. $68.80 for weedend and $66.40 for the weekdays.

Thanks so much for the info. I booked our Oct 9-22 trip a couple weeks ago and couldn't get the AAA rate for the premium site. Just saved $225!!

We love the 900 loop! It's across from pool and Meadows Trading post, has bus stop and comfort station.

Well we have a premium site booked so one closet to the main swimming pool etc would be best; however, I don't want a site that is right near a bus stop!

Hopefully this can be done as this will be out 1st trip to FW (5th to WDW).

I'm thinking site 906. Thoughts?

I don't know if you can request a specific site before your arrival. Once you get there you can ask if that site is available. We have been given a site before, pulled up and found someone is already there set up. Had to go back to check in and get another site. They try to accommodate you , but sometimes stuff happens, just go with the flow.....my opinion, you are at THE best campground and Disney... win win!!

We love 1400....we ask for close to comfort station so we usually get a few sites down from the comfort station by the canal and close to the campfire. This wouldn't be good if you have small children....too close to the canal.

Wow! I like what I see about the 1400 loop! I would love a site on the canal ( we are taking 5 kids but the youngest will be 6 so I think the canal would be fine). I however would not want a spot near a comfort station; any sites in mind?

Sites,1421,1423,1425 and so on till you get to about 1432 then you are getting close to the comfort station. The loop name is Little Bear. Also check out the google earth stickey on this forum, there are other loops that run along the canal. You can see every site in the fort.

Just changed a ressie for March of next year and scored a discount.

I had a Premium site for a week in March (spring break). I had booked it at rack rates just to get it in the system 3 months ago.

Called tonight to drop it back to a Partial site and got it along with a 10% discount via AAA. This is Peak pricing time and 10% is as good as it gets for Peak. During Value times you can get 20% if you call early (once the limited number of discounts are claimed they're gone). So a Sunday-Saturday stay (6 nights) was $471 including taxes instead of $523.

Of course, changing from a Premium to a Partial saved me some dough too.

I might be able to afford tickets to the Parks now.
