AAA rates for 2011 can now be applied

Was posted on other forums that you can now book 2011 online and call in to apply AAA rates.

Called in this morning, the AAA discount that I got on our preferred reservations for march-april was 10%.
I questioned POP century and the AAA discount was 20% there

Thanks for the heads-up. I called tonight and got the AAA rate applied to 3 ressies I have for 2011 (total of 9 nights between them).

For the weekend in March 2011 I got 10% off a Partial site from $78/night to $71.20/night.

For the week in early May 2011 I got 15% off a Partial site from $66/night to $56.10/night for weekday and from $69.00/night to $58.65/night for weekend.

These are base rates before the 12.5% effective tax rate is applied. So I saved myself $96 dollars which will pay for the AAA membership for one more year.

The only AAA discount available for that time was for tent or popup site!!!! They're not releasing discount yet for other sites apparently - seems it's only for partials. I'll have to keep trying and keep my "ears" on this site for any news.

Good for you. I'm at least thankful we have our reservation at all! We always book at 499 days then keep calling to get AAA applied. Maybe it will still come through for us.

Well we just got a AAA rate for a full hook up as late as 11/12 for this year last Wed (8/4) and in 2008 we got a AAA rate for the entire month of November. There were more available for the higher priced sites, but we didn't want to move and wanted to stay in a full hook up site. They are out there, but just hard to snag and someone is feeding you bum info IMHO.

I know what you mean even without a discount your still going to DW. When we went in 2009 (wilderness lodge) I couldn't get a discount and tried forever. Go figure. Hoping you still get one

Does AAA give discounts over the Christmas weeks? I called yesterday and reserved the week leading up to Christmas next year (YAAAAAY!!!!!) and asked about the discount....she said they weren't available yet.

Well, I just answered my own question. I called them and YES they offer it for Christmas and I GOT IT!!!! It was 10%!!!

Just called again (probably 4th time this week), we still can't get AAA rates for our FULL hookup res for Nov/Dec 2011!!!! They are still telling me they are only available for partial hookups at this time.

I got excited when I saw your post but you didn't mention if it was full or partial so I called anyway.

When booking site only reservations it's better to go thru AAA.com to get your discounts and not thru Disney.

I had regular reservations for a preferred site the 2nd and 3rd week of June 2011 and called today and added AAA. Wow was I happy. I got a 25% discount!!! We had a balance of $1350 after having already paid the first night deposit before and now the balance is $1002, that's saving me $348!!!! In our area a gold AAA is only $79 so it is well worth it. Glad I read this thread yesterday. Thanks!

I took your advice and called AAA yesterday. They couldn't get anything different than I already had. In fact, the AAA agent said he doubted they were even taking reservations for that late in 2011

Think I'll continue to try on my own. I've always gotten the AAA rate in the past. I see someone just got it for June 2011 so I guess Nov/Dec is getting closer.

Yeah, definitely keep trying. Unfortunately I think sometimes it's more a matter of the CM you get on the phone. I called Friday morning and was told no, then I called back yesterday and was told yes. I got my confirmation via email yesterday so I know it wasn't a fluke. BTW - we are in a premium site.

AAA.com also says too far out for ressies. As for AAA travel agents, I have found all the ones I have dealt with to be less then competent. I just go online and do my own ressies.

Certainly you may ask!! We will be staying 13 nights--from May 15 to May 28 of 2001. We have requested a preferred site in the 300 Loop. We now have a rate of $75.65 for 10 of the nights and $78.20 on the other 3.
