AAA rate question?

We already have resv. at the POP for Oct. 12 & 13th, at $99.00 + Tax a night..my mom has suggested to us that she might cover our cost for a Christmas present, and has checked AAA (shes a member) for rates and they are $84.16 a night. If she reserves the room with AAA will we be able to check in? Would she be able to reserve the room in our names, since the membership is in hers? Obviously we wouldnt be able to check in under her name since you have to show ID. She will not be traveling with us, so she would not be able to go to check in with us? Should we just leave our reserv. the way they are and just have her give us the cash for the resv.? Please advise??? Thanks in advance.

They are supposed to ask to see your AAA membership card when you check in. I would just leave your reservation as it is.

The front desk may ask to see your AAA membership at check in. If you don't have it you could be charged rack rate.

That rate is also not the AAA rate for December at POP. We are going there in December and our rate is only 60 something a night.
