Has anyone recieved a rate from AAA for WL woods view. I ask cm and he said that only rates available for AAA were for courtyard view. It was about $30 more than rack rate.

I have called about 7 times in the past couple of weeks to get the AAA discount applied to my WL ressie. I keep getting told it's not available. The last dizzy CM implied that there was no availability at all at the WL for my dates and tried to upsell me. I don't know what to make of it. I'm just going to keep calling until someone says yes. I have VOIP (voice over Internet phone) so I don't pay any long distance fees, I'll keep calling Disney just 'cause I can!)

I booked a WL woodsview with the AAA discount for Oct. 3-8 for $217 including tax (I think it was $199 w/o tax).

I booked WL woods view with our MYW + dining package for value season, 11/27 - 12/4/05. Breaking it down to pre-tax, I think it comes out to $195.50/night. They did not have standard view available with the AAA discount when I booked. I only received the total for the whole package, so I think that's about right.

Hope this helps!

I got a AAA room only rate of $239.75 for Oct 8-16, standard view. I saved $215 over rack rate.

I have AAA standard view for May 9-13 and it's $239 with tax.

To better compare the rates, we need to know what season or time of the year you will be going FanningIII. It does make a difference in the time of year. So, when are you going? Usually the AAA discount for deluxes is about 10%, but there is only a limited number of rooms at that discount rate. I've been trying to get a AAA rate for WL on June 12-16 for a standard room. I know they had them because I called earlier this year, but didn't book. When I became serious a couple of weeks ago, they only had woods view left with a AAA Rate. I waited too long. :guilty:

Just to let you all know--we just got back from the WL a few weeks ago and got a price list for the 2005 season from guest services. All the above prices you have been quoted by AAA are the same rates Disney charges. So it looks like you really don't get any type of discount through AAA.

We are saving a small amount over what we were quoted by Disney. It's not much, I forget whether it's 10 or 15 percent but I think it's only ten. Every little bit helps!

We're going in April (regular season) and we got $238 w/o tax which is a 10% discount. We wanted standard room but was told that none was available. We are still hoping for general public discount codes.

I finally got my AAA discount. I had to call a dozen times or so. The 10 days of our stay that falls in Value season, I upgraded to woods view for a few ducets cheaper than the standard room. I got it for $195/night plus tax. Not a huge savings but a savings nonetheless. If no good AP codes come out I might end up dividing the stay, one week at a mod and keep the last 7 days at WL. I'm not keen on the idea of moving, but to save a $1000 or so, I'd find a way to deal :wizard:

I can't stress strongly enough, if you want something to happen for yourself where Disney CRO is concerned, keep calling and calling. Persistence is often paid off. :grouphug:

If you're talking about what people are replying to the OP, then I disagree with you. It just depends on what the season, room type, and availability.

We are saving 15% off the rack rate ($230) for a woods view room - which means it costs about $195 before tax. So, yes - that is a discount, and is better than nothing. So $268 off our stay is a decent discount in my opinion.

The price that I got for May 18-22 is $265 per night for woods view. This price INCLUDES TAX. The rack rate is $265 per night PLUS tax (at 11.5%) so it would really be $304.75 if I were paying rack rate. I'm just hanging on to my AAA rate until the AP rates come out though.

We are going April 21-27 regular season. AAA website offers $265/night tax not included. I believe thats what I currently am paying

I see you're staying more than 10 nights and wanted to FYI that this same thing happened to me when I tried to book AAA for more than 10 nights. I kept calling and trying to get AAA rate until finally someone told me that you can't book AAA rate for more than 10 nights at a time. I had to split my stay into two reservations to get the AAA rate for the extra nights. Hope that info is helpful to some because it's apparently not common knowledge with CM's when you call!

AAA rates are available at certain times in all categories. Probably for the time you wanted only courtyard were still available. Basically the AAA discount covers the taxes.

We were able to get a AAA rate for July for $170+ tax for a standard room at WL. I'm waiting to see if AP discounts will be out for the dates we'll be there and then I'll call and change it. Two summers ago we were able to get a room at a very reasonable rate. :cool1:

cm told us that there weren't any aaa rates left for standard or woods views at the wl the week we will be there. i'm hoiping for an ap rate though. :goodvibes

My reservation is for CL at the WL during value season, it was 306 + tax with AAA, would have been 360 + tax rack rate. Saved 15 %.
