AAA Question

What exactly is the discounty AAA members get? We just received an offer to join AAA at a discounted rate and since we are planning two WDW trips, thought it may be profitable to join for the discounted rate. Can someone please fill me in on just what kind of discount they give?

I just booked at Pop this morning for 5 days in May using the AAA discount. It saved us almost $200.00. I bought the membership just to get the discounts, and it more than paid for itself with one phone call.

I called and talked to AAA, but do not have a membership, and I think they still gave me a fair price, do you think actually having a membership would make a difference?

20% off values and moderates during value season
15% off deluxes

15% off values and moderates during regular and peak season
10% off deluxes

No discounts during holiday season.

You've gotten good advice on the discounts.

You can use the AAA discount directly with Disney and/or Dreams Unlimited.

Thanks for the help! Since we are going for Thanksgiving - does that count as a "holiday" or is that Christmas only? All this "PC" stuff about Christmas confuses me! :lol

Ok this is going to sound like a stupid question if you do AAA do you have to pay up front? I didn't even think about using them in November.

Holiday season is that one week around Christmas. If you look on Disney's site, or any others that break down the season you will see value, regular, peak and holiday. So there just aren't any discounts during that holiday season.

With AAA you pay just like you would any other package. If you are doing room only, then you just pay the one night deposit. If you are doing a package, you have to book that through your AAA agent and I am not sure how they have it set up because I only use AAA to get the room only discounts.
