When AAA gives you a per night rate on their site, is that not including tax?

I check for rates on their website, and that amount is WITHOUT tax. You have to dig around for the tax. Note that rates are different at several locations on property. I found a great rate for the POP recently on the AAA website (came to $64.50 a night, tax not included). I called CRO immediately and booked with the AAA discount. Worked out great.

I know that taxes are 11% and 12.5% at AK resorts (I believe they are in a different district or something).

I thought to get a firm amount I'd just call Disney with our options. Thinking of going back in August since it's value season and you get a little larger % off. Every bit helps!

Where on the AAA site are you able to view the room rates? I'm logged into AAA Midatlantic (I'm forced to enter a zipcode when I go to AAA's site) and the only option I can find for pricing is to get a quote.

Is there a way/place to view rates and availablity without pestering my agent?

I just go to AAA site and click on the hotel link at the top. Use lake buena vista as the location. put in your dates & # of people. That should give you the list of hotels available. Disney resorts usually start on the second page. You can click on any of the resorts like your going to book it and it will give you more info as to what the taxes will be and room type. I don't even have to log in to get this info. Hope this helps and it works for you.

When I go to AAA's website, I click hotels from the travel dropdown menu. I select Orlando as the city, and at the bottom, there is box where you can select the hotel name. There is a listing for Disney World hotels. Then you get nothing but Disney.

The All Star Resorts are in Osceola county, so the tax rate is higher.

I was taking the long way about doing this (as I usually do). Your tips helped! Now if I can just convince my hubby to stay at a deluxe....my daughter and I were convincing him how cheap we could stay at a value or moderate. We won that battle......now for the next chapter!
