AAA Question

I'm confused. I see people talking about their AAA discount. Is that when you have a membership throught AAA or when you have auto insurance through them? I'm trying to decide if I should join AAA, wait for a code or deal for January, or what to save the most money. What was the January deal last year? Does anyone know?

AAA auto club has tons of perks, one being the best all around discount on Disney hotel rooms & vacation packages. Usually around 20% off rooms at WDW. We booked our package (room, WDW tickets with Dining) thru AAA -- no one else could beat the price. The closest I got was $200 more. You need to be a AAA member. Annual membership costs varies depending on your region. Check out the AAA website.

Any Disney Code can be added onto the AAA package.

My experience -- I would have done better to book package thru AAA, but book my own airfare thru SouthWest.

This years AAA discounts are a certain percent off your resort/resort portion of your package and are as follows (they haven't been published for next year so who knows) :

Value and Mod resorts in Value season - 20 %
Value and Mod resorts in Regular, Summer, Peak season - 15%
Delux, Ft Wilderness Cabins in value Season - 15%
Delux, Ft Wilderness Cabins in Regular, Peak - 10%

Notice that there isn't a discount listed for Holiday season.

AAA discounts are limited and subject to availability.

AAA discounted packages must be booked through AAA, while AAA discounted room only reservations may be booked through either Disney or AAA.

If you have a AAA package and a disney discount comes out, your aaa agent should be able to replace your aaa discount with the Disney one if you want it, but it can not be added on top of your aaa discount.
