AAA question

Hi everyone,

I am planning on booking our Feb. 08 trip either this month or next month. This will be the first time we have booked our trip thru Disney Travel. Does anyone know if we can get a AAA discount thru Disney? I know I can book with AAA travel but would like to book it with Disney. Just not sure if they will give us the discount as well.

They can give you a room only AAA discount but not a package AAA discounts. Packages must be booked through AAA to get their discount.

I booked our Sept trip through Disney and saved about $300 than what was listed on the Disney website.

We booked all of our trips with AAA. The price was exactly the same as it was when I checked on Disney's website. Last year when we booked our October 2006 trip we did so during AAA's Disney Days. We got a free Princess snow globe, a stuffed Mickey, discount merchandise coupons, and a few other perks (can't remember now).

I guess it's really up to what you personally prefer, but we were very pleased with AAA. My agent, Donna, is an angel! She even emails me reminders and little antedocts to get me in the Disney Spirit (like I need any help with that!).

We usually dont do a package and just book a AAA rate through Disney. I booked our Jan 2008 last week, but they cant add the AAA discount until they are released later this summer. I just booked our rooms at rack rate and the CM said to call back when the AAA rates are released and have it added to the ressie. Just a heads up for booking your Feb. trip if you do it through Disney.

Just a word of advice, try to get the name of a AAA agent if you can. I put in a request in the online system and ended up with a very new agent who was not good at all! She was very nice, but didn't know anything about Disney, said she could not apply one of the promotional codes going on at the time (which another AAA agent was able to apply) and was horrible at keeping in touch and answering questions.

We booked our trip through the AAA agent. We are taking three adults and one child. We are staying 7 nights at the Coranodo Springs with 8 day park hopper passes, the meal plan, and airfare. She saved us $949 off the Disney price. WELL worth it!

Depends on when you go and whether they have openings, too. They limit the number of AAA "slots" at any given time. For example, at this point, the week of Christmas, they have no AAA room slots available. May be worth it to go through AAA just to get the "perks" and discounts on tickets. For the times that they have availability, I think the AAA discount can be pretty good. I had looked at a 5 day stay not too long ago and was quoted almost $600 less through AAA after I looked at the regular price online.
