Just a few tips since I just returned using those tickets...

Loved them, you must have them if you are going during a busy time, midweek not a requirement, but if you are going for 3 days it's silly not to get them since the price difference is so small.

The food vouchers although they said $8.75 for breakfast at certain places ended up getting used for lunch/dinner at completely different places. We did use counter service and they treated it like any other voucher. Make sure you spend the $8.75 since there isn't any credit back if you don't.

Also, don't forget that although it is unlmited fastpasses you have to get one for a time you like. Most of the rides the fastpass started in an hour or so after I got it, but Splash Mountain, Winnie the Pooh, and Indy were for hours out. Makes sure you get those early since they run out or you don't want to be on the ride with a fastpass for 10pm!

Don't know if you can get more than 2 per attraction per day, didn't try it out. Rode everything at least once and then most of them twice in a day.

Remember what doesn't have fastpasses and do those early. Bobsleds, Fantasyland, etc. Did those first thing and then during parades.

Although the ticket included parking in Mickey and Friends structure sometimes I was directed to the Timon parking lot so wherever they tell you to park should be covered by the pass. You can also use it on a different day, not going to the parks. We went to watch the fireworks one night and didn't go into the park and the parking was still included.

The free ESPN zone card you get can be used at another time and at other locations. We picked ours up and will use them at a later date. Didn't have time and it was busy on Saturday night.

This special deal is still not getting widely used and I'm surprised. All except one person I saw/talk to knew about these tickets. It's the best hidden secret!

Have fun!

Jenn

Thanks Jen - we have these tickets and will be using them in mid-August; sounds like they will be lifesavers!!!!!

This is the first I have heard of this limit, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were true given that the multiple attraction use is a new FastPass feature at Disneyland.

Is this one of those "undocumented" FastPass features, similar to being able to use your FastPass AFTER the expire time or that some of the rides (HM, POTC, etc.) are not linked to the other FastPass rides?

BTMichael

Somewhere someone mentioned that you MIGHT only be able ot get 2 for one attraction per day, but I didn't try it out. At AAA it sounded as if it was unlimited and you could get as many as you want. Sometimes with new products it is confusing.

Jenn

Jenn,

Could you please give me more information about how you used the vouchers? We bought the passes, but our hotel has a free breakfast every morning and I didn't really want the breakfast vouchers.

Where did you use them for lunch/dinner? I was told over the phone that they are only good at Club Buzz and Pacific Wharf, but it sounds as if you used them at other places.

I would love to be able to use them at the bakery at DCA. I've been dreaming of their soup bowls all winter!

I thought I read a comment from someone stating that the Passport Plus tickets can be purchased from AAA instead of the standard Passport tickets. Our local AAA will sell the Passport Plus only as part of a package deal.

Are people getting the Passport Plus tickets from AAA alone or as part of some package deal (with or without a room reservation)?

Thanks,

BTMichael

I posted to you on another thread- I purchased the Passport Plus tickets through WD Travel Co. without any room reservations. They still call it a package, but all the package includes is: 5 day tickets (could get more days if wanted), $10 ESPN card, breakfast voucher, free parking, and a luggage tag.

We paid $381 for 3 adults. This included a shipping fee.

Letsbgoofy,

Your comment above is why I asked the question again. I requested the same "no room" package from WD Travel yesterday and was told $596 for 3 adult tickets for 6 days.

While I realize that the extra day costs more, my cost is $71 per person more than your cost. I figure $29 per person is more reasonable. That's why I asked about the AAA "no room" cost, if it exists.

How were you able to get such a low cost? It is possible that WD Travel is billing us for a "Magic Resort Package", whereas yours doesn't appear to be (missing breakfast vouchers, Disney pin, etc.)?

Thanks again,

BTMichael

Oops, I just noticed you mentioned the breakfast vouchers. So, now I am really confused about the cost difference.

Michael

Letsbgoofy,

Sorry about the repeated messages, but I have my answer. I determined that the person I spoke with yesterday at WD Travel misunderstand my request. When I asked for "6 day passports", she priced them as "cost of 6 day passports", which gets you 8 days!.

Once I requested 6 day passports, which are priced at the 4 day passport rate during the current special, our package came to $468, which is $87 more than your 5 day cost. That means $29 extra per person per day, which is what I hoped for.

So, I am going to book our room separately and change the WD Travel package to be the Passport Plus package. In the process, we will save over $200 total. :)

Thank you very much for your patience and time. I am totally jazzed! :) :) :)

The only place I've seen that talks about Passport Plus online is mousesavers, and it doesn't mention parking. Is this a feature in all Passport Plus passes, or just for AAA? Could anyone elaborate... is it one time or everyday?

I don't know if the parking is included with all the tikcets, but they are with AAA who orders then orders them from Disney for you.

I used the breakfast vouchers both times not at breakfast and at different places. I asked the lady who was serving food if I could use them and she didn't know, but when it came time to pay they said no problem. It just counts as $8.75 towards your food purchase.

I ate at the place with the sourdough soup bowls at DCA (Pacific Wharf?) and also at a counter service place in DL close to Haunted Mansion. Not sure of the name of it. Also, has breadbowls but this time had a salad with it.

Jenn

Jenn,

Thanks for your reply-that's just where I want to eat.

BTMichael,

Glad you got it all worked out. Those package deals are not "deals" many of the times. I saved $200 doing my reservations on my own.

Letsbgoofy,

I just wished I had visited this forum a little sooner. I would have also saved myself the insurance cost when I initially booked through WD Travel, which is non-refundable. Then again, if I hadn't stumbled upon this forum, I would have saved nothing!

All is not lost though. The person I spoke with at Disney reservations (direct to the hotels) was extremely helpful. Not only did I get the pool view room we requested, but she determined that our room selection qualified for a AAA discount! :)

So, we are now booked and ready to go. It is going to be a long 11+ week wait! ;)

Michael

I think that only AAA gives you free parking ... If you're staying at the DLR you won't need it. We used our breakfast vouchers toward the cost of the Minnie & Friends character breakfast at the PPH. They took them w/o batting an eye. Some people have had trouble buying the PassPort Plus tickets from AAA w/o a package but I got them with no problem. It's an option in their Disney brochure. I called the number that I got on mousesavers. it was the Northern CA AAA office.

I bought my Passport Plus tickets through WD Travel Co. and they told me that they come with free parking. We'll be walking, so it's not an issue. I'm happy to hear that the vouchers can be used at other places though-it makes them even more of a good deal!

:jester: I just returned from DL and we used the AAA Passport Plus. They were great, free parking, Timon or Mickey & Friends. Unlimited Fast Pass...which was great for riding things more than once.

This is the way to go...I made my reservations through Leah at AAA. 2 adults, 1 child $358.25. I did not book any rooms or airfare.
