I've had people ask on the board and inbox me for info on this package so thought I'd copy/paste the response in this thread for people to search and reference easier in the future.

The price I paid was as of January 2012

First for anyone else reading this -- you do NOT have to be a AAA member to book this. My AAA travel agency knows all about this Passport Plus option but after reading posts on this board it appears not all clubs are as versed in the details so if your agent has no clue, make them call their Disney Travel line and they can set it up.

Here's the info:

Passport Plus Package

5 day park hopper ticket (I believe you can get 3/4/6 day options also)
free parking at Mickey's Garage
One Magic Morning
Mickey's Toon Town Morning Madness
AAA Diamond Card for Disneyland Resort
Prefered seating at select shows at California Adventure Park (Aladdin, It’s Tough To Be A Bug, Animation Academy, Muppets)
Free Disney Pin and Lanyard

One adult and one child age 7
$455.00

It also included a photopass card that you can go online and activate so it’s ready to go in the park, or activate at the park if you wish instead. It’s not free of course, you still have to pay when you order but you just have the card itself ahead of time.

The Diamond Card is a discount card:
20% off DL park tours
10% of photopass

10% off at Catal, Haagen Dazs, Jamba Juice, La Brea, Marceline’s Confectionery, Naples, Jazz Kitchen, Tortilla Jo’s
20% off at House of Blues
One free kids meal w/ adult entrée at ESPN Zone and Rainforest Café

10% off at Apricot Lane, Crystal Arts/Arribas Bros, Fossil, LittleMissMatched, RainbowFActory, Sunglass Icon, World of Disney (min 50 or 75 purchase)
20% off House of Blues
$5 of $50 at Lego Imagination Center
Planet Popcorn buy 3 bags get one free
Pearl factory ne free pearl bearing oyster with any purchase of 14k gold setting starting at $19.99

Thanks for the details. I am a CAA member (Canuck AAA), and have considered options, but it always seemed like you need to book your hotel through them, too, to get these deals. So just buying the tickets is enough? I also did not know MTTM could be a bonus feature, which is definitely worth something to me with kids ages 2, 4, and 7. It might be worth it to pay a bit more than Flight Centre offers for goodies like that!

I booked my hotel on my own :-)

To be clear, this is a package reservation that AAA will book for you, documents come a few weeks before travel date. This is NOT what you get if you just buy the regular tickets they sell in their offices which you take home the same day.

Right, thanks. I have been reading this thread
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2891076
that also discusses issues others have had with AAA tickets. The big deal seems to be you need to order ahead with the Travel Services people for this "package," even when it does not include air, car, or hotel. Even some AAA/CAA travel agents are confused by this and needed to call WDTC to confirm they could do this (just sell the tickets with all the goodies without also booking more). *Don't* get the tickets offered at Member Services. (This is me talking to myself so I get this right this fall!)

I went ahead and did this today for our upcoming Easter Week trip. The agent was also clueless on this but since I had the info she called and was able to get the same information. Nowhere in the AAA brochure though did it mention the extra perks beyond the parkhopper, parking, and MM. Guess I'll see what I end up with. The pricing was a bit higher than buying it through Entertainment.com (cheapest I've found with a book) by $32 total for 2 adult tickets but figure we'll make that up with 5 days of parking and any other perks will just be nice.

One weird thing though was that I was trying to buy a 3 day and a 5 day ticket (since my son will be at a college visit for a few of the days). If I ordered two different length tickets, I had to pay a $15 package fee for EACH rather than one total. She said they recommended just buying 2 of the 3 day tickets and upgrading one there. Since I'm not even sure I'll be there all 5 days this made sense. Anyone know if I'll end up paying a lot more to upgrade though? Thanks!

I'd like to know if adding days to this ticket at the park affects the free parking benefit. If you end up adding a day or two to your ticket, could you please post back here with how it goes? I read another post saying that when they added a day they were issued completely new tickets. However, I'm guessing the ticket booths at the gate wouldn't be able to issue new tickets with free parking printed on them like the AAA Passport Plus has. I'm also guessing that maybe the Walt Disney Travel Company's office in Downtown Disney may be able to upgrade the tickets while keeping the free parking since I believe the AAA Passport Plus tickets originate from them. Again, I'd love if you'd post here or PM me with how it works out.

Where exactly can I call to book this tickets only package? I am not a member of AAA but it sounds like I can still book this package? thanks!

I searched AAA travel and found the information under 2012 vacation packages. Off to the side is the number to call. I tried calling for these yesterday, but the agent didn't know what I was talking about and didn't want to make an effort to look for what I was asking. We aren't going until June, so I guess I'll try again later.

We always buy our tickets through AAA to get the Passport Plus package. We've done everything from three to six day passes. They always charge a fee of about $12.00, but it's worth it to us for the package savings and perks. We like to book our hotel ourselves. The only thing we don't get by booking the hotel ourselves is a character wakeup call, and that's something we don't need.

You do need to order a few weeks ahead to make sure your package with the tickets come in time.

Ugh - I didn't even think of the parking issue with the fewer days! I'd put in a call to my agent shortly after I posted this just because I was concerned that I would pay the full gate price in the upgrade (and lose all the discount). She was looking into it late Friday. Left her another message today with the concern about the parking - thinking I may end up paying the additional $15 to buy 2 separate "packages" or even just buy 2 of the 5 day tickets instead (it was a $32 difference, which means that after the $15 I'd have to pay anyway, it would only be $17 more). Doubt my son will come more than 3 days, but I guess there might be one more possible night. I'll let you know what happens Monday - thanks for letting me know about this!

I was wondering the same thing. Does anyone know?
