We are thinking of joining AAA for reasons independent of Disney, but I thought I recalled seeing a special parking lot for AAA members at Disney Theme parks when we were there last time. Do they still have those? What do you need to take with you to park in those lots? A membership card- or do you need to order something special from AAA?

AAA offices vary as to their policy on the parking permits. Most insist that you buy WDW tickets or a package through them before handing you a parking permit. Other offices may just give you one because you are a member...but they seem to be in the minority.

You need to get a AAA permit, and at most times of the day you will have to show it to the Cast Member in order to get into the AAA lot. Then you leave it on display in your windshield. They won't let you in with just a membership card.

The PP are correct..My local AAA office will not just give out parking passes to members, you need to book a pkg through them or purchase park tickets.
