aaa parking

Can anyone please tell me about the aaa parking voucher? Have you ever used it? Is the special place to park much closer to the parks? Is it a valuable tool? Thanks in advance.

The voucher lets you park closer to the entrance of the parks, but of course still have to pay for parking. We have used it several times. Works great for all the parks except for the MK. You still have to walk to the TTC and ride the monorail or take the boat. We found the bus from our resort faster, but if staying off property I guess that wouldn't be an option. Was really nice for EPCOT. Walked right into the front gate in less than 5 minutes. It is also blacked out on certain days--Christmas, New Year's, etc. If you can get one, you will probably enjoy using it for certain parks.

I am unclear as to whether you have to book a package through AAA to get a voucher or whether any AAA member can go to the local office and get one. Any idea?

You have to book a package or purchase tickets at your AAA office to get the voucher.

I got the AAA Diamond Parking pass without having to book anything with them, as long as I was a member. I just asked for one, and it was given, the same when my sister got one.

It depends on the AAA office. Each one seems to have a different policy. But it seems most require SOMETHING be purchased.
