AAA Parking Pass?

Is the AAA Parking Pass worth it for people renting a car??

I heard a rumor that you can get these on ebay- is that right? Does it really let you park THAT MUCH CLOSER to the gate?? We're not booking through AAA but are AAA Gold members.

Actually yes.....a couple of years back when we had a rental car we had the opportunity to park in the AAA area. We didn't have the pass but explained to one of the attendants that we had a flight in a couple of hours, which we did, and wanted to hit some rides with the kids in MK. We were just asking if we could drive up closer in the regular lot to see if anything was open but he directed us to the AAA parking area. It was great and greatly appreciated. So as far as I know the AAA lot is better but of course that was a couple of years ago.

Yes, the AAA area gets you a bit closer, but not all that much.
BUT......AAA has now changed their parking passes. They are dated, with the name of the person using them. Previous parking passes from AAA did say that they were not for sale and were non-transferrable. But, people didn't much care. They sold them on eBay when they were done with them. Some people even made copies of them and sold those. AAA seems to have closed that loophole.
Some AAA offices will give them to their customers even if they haven't bought anything from the office for their trip. Other offices (most common) say that you have to at least purchase park passes from them, and some offices won't give you the parking pass unless you book an entire package through them.
It is a perk, offered to AAA members. So, anyone using one that they are not legally entitled to should be prepared to be turned away.
