We're planning a trip to DL May 6-12 and are thinking of booking a package through AAA. We've never booked a package at all (DL or WDW) and never gone through AAA for anything other than tickets so we're wondering if this is a good idea. It's about $250 cheaper than booking the same package through the DL website so we're thinking it's a good deal, but not sure if that's the best way to go.

Do the AAA packages include anything other than the room and park tickets? I only ask cause it says something like 'magical moments package' or something like that on the AAA site but doesn't describe what that is.

So are we better off booking the AAA package or just booking room and tickets separately? Oh, and it will be me, my husband, and our 2yo daughter.

Not only do you get the extras featured in the resort magic package like
preferred seating for 3 of the shows, a lanyard, pins, special 50th anniversary map, etc., BUT, you also get AAA's enhanced fastpass!!

Thanks! Where do you read about what you get in the resort magic package? I didnt' really see any specifics online, but I'm probably just not looking in the right spot. Also, what are AAA's enhanced fastpasses? Do you get to get more of them at a time?

Enhanced fast pass is only available if you are staying at one of the 3 onsite resort hotels, and the trip is booked thru AAA. You can get a FP for each ride that offers one without waiting for the times to come up or the two hours to pass. You may not hold more then one FP for any single ride until the time is up or the two hours have passed.

If its less then the WDT site, its probably a pretty good deal. AAA offers everything the Disney travel company does- lanyard, luggage tags, toontown morning madness, priority seating for a couple shows. If you find a cheaper price, say thru travelocity or expedia, you would be giving up the little extras.

We are traveling in July, and planned on staying at GC. AAA beat the Disney Travel company by $200!!! :teeth:

It must depend on what state you are in. I never get good rates from them. My trip next month was going to $4 more. My trip last fall they didnt have PP available, but WDT did. It just seems hit and miss with the WA AAA.
