AAA Package ?

I booked 2nights at Port Orleans july 17-19th with the quick service dining and 7 day water park ption hopper. I called AAA yesterday to apply the code to the reservation and I was told I couldnt make any changes to it b/c i was paid in full. does this sound right? I then asked if I could upgrade to OKW for the 2 nights at a rate of 179 a night and she said the difference was still $80.. To me that doesnt sound right b/c i probablly paid about that much for port orleans before the summer deal rates came out. Could someone ppuuulllleeeaaaasssse help. If this is the case.. i will not book through AAA again!

That doesn't sound right to me. If I were you, I will call AAA again to have the code applied to the package. It's not even within 45 days of your travel dates.

Are you talking about code ELH? The general public summer rate? It may be that you can't use that code because it's a room-only code and you have a package. The rate wouldn't apply.

I've never booked through AAA so I'm not certain, but I'm wondering if the difference has to do with a room only discount when you have a package booked?

I have used AAA a few times in the past. My AAA TA was great (I don't know about yours??) Last year, I booked a package with AAA, then a discount room code came out, my TA was able to apply it to my package(room portion) Try calling the travel service line of AAA instead of your TA. Hey, you should get to the bottom of this before your 45-days marker.

I was told incorrect info by a AAA TA about applying a new code. Don't know which AAA you used--I used the one in Burlington, MA and had a terrible, awful experience. I suspect the TA is giving you wrong onfo so be really careful.
As to speaking to a different TA, I was told that I had to continue to go through the TA that had originally booked my trip. I even called the big kahuna in the administrative office in RI. The most I got was: they had a different TA make any necessary phone calls to me, but the idiot who booked and messed up the trip kept my ressie.

That's unbelievable! I felt for you all. I guess I was lucky to have a TA who knows as much if not more than me...
