O.k. This is the third time I've tried to post this!

I received this AAA quote...seems like a good deal...What do you think?

POFQ
2 adults
Feb. 12th 2006--Feb. 18th, 2006 -- 6 nights
6 day park hopper tickets
with Dining Plan ($37.00 per night, per person)

Total: $1674.00

I did check WDW website for their price on the same details. Their price was over $1800.

I also got a AAA package quote for the BWI. It would be around $2500. As much as I would like to stay at BWI, I'm not sure that it's worth $900.00 more.

It seems like a good deal...Do you think I should book with AAA, or do you think I should get another quote from someone else?

Thanks in advance!

The only way you will get a better deal is if the Mouse himself offers something. Book it now while you can.

Hi,

I just did an AAA package this am. (I did have "room only") booked for AsMo for Feb 12 - 18th,2006, but read on these boards that for the cost of purchase of 1base ticket I could add the dining option!

So today I raced over to my local AAA and reserved 6nts at AsMo standard for 2 adults, 1 child with 1 base ticket per person, plus dining at a cost of $1303. We had already purchased 10day MYW tickets at beginning of this year for our previous trip and that is why we didn't feel we need to buy the ticket option, but I wanted to get in on the dining plan which works out very reasonable for the stay.

Your package seems reasonable as for the additional $370 you stay at POFQ and have 6 day p/h tickets.

I would go for it if this is the resort and options you want. If you want dining, you may want to reconsider your options.

Do you HAVE to purchase ALL of the days for dining on your trip with the AAA package? or could you just purchase 1 or 2 days?

You will have to purchase the dining plan for all your nights and all the people in your party. It's still a really great deal.

and WDW is the owner of the package and it is their rules that AAA is following.

If you are not an AP holder that's a good rate. If you are an AP holder my figures are $1552.40 ($121.60 savings) for what you are getting. I am assuming that the package is for a standard room. If not the savings will be less. Here's how I figured it:

$446.00 for two 6 day hoppers ($223.00 each @ Ticketmania with mousesavers newsletter)
$662.40 for the room booked thru BRP.
$447.00 for the meal plan
$1552.40 total :flower:

Just an FYI

If you want the dining package, you must book a package. You can't add the dining to a Best Rate room reservation since that's a room-only reservation. Package means you would have to book a room at rack rate (unless you book through AAA) AND add tickets to your reservation.

I was just wondering if they needed 2 x 6 day hoppers if one of them was an AP holder?

If the AP was valid for time of visit, it would cut the cost down tby $223?

I have considered buying an AP for myself. I am going with my mom this trip--it's her 70th birthday (girls only :teeth: ) I am feeling very guilty going to WDW without my DH and sons :guilty: I am trying to convince my DH that we really should take a trip to WDW before our oldest son goes away to college next fall! :teeth:

So, if I buy an AP, I would still have to buy at least 1 base ticket for each of us to get the AAA package, right? Then I would buy tickets for the remaining days for my mom?

Another thing to consider too, is if I do buy the AP, I would also be able to get the AP dining card and use that for discounted meals instead of the dining plan...

Here I go again complicating things for myself! :rotfl:

AHA! There's the rub. I forgot about that. It's a really good rate then!

When purchasing a package ALL tickets must be identical for each person on the reservation. So if you have (1) 6 day park hopper, EVERYBODY has a 6 day park hopper.

Yes. You would reserve the package with 1 day base tickets.; Then, after checking in, you could upgrade JUST your mom's ticket.

But I have to tell you, the DDE really is worth it's weight in gold. I had mine this past trip. We had 5 people, so at each restaurant, 1 person ate for free.
