Me and my friend have never been to Universal and plan to go in August. I am trying to book the new Universal Harry Potter package, and I think I got a good price for it. When i asked what the AAA price was to the man at Universal he said that it was the same price as the Universal price he was quoting me. I'm wondering if I book through AAA do i get an additional discount on the room in the package or does Universal really have the same/best prices?

Any experiences with AAA and Universal packages would be great to hear. I prefer to book it myself and be able to change things, but a 10% discount is potentially up to 100 dollars. I'll be happy to use AAA in that case.

Any tricks to getting the harry potter package as cheap as possible? Is about 1000 for 2 people with 4 day park to park tickets a reasonable price? :confused3

Thanks in advance for any help or advice. :)

you could call any AAA agent that does vacation bookings and ask them to give you a quote on the package price.

when i book with UO by phone, i do ask what the discounts are for SMSM, AAA and APH.
the TM's at reservations desk, do have the current discount info.

i always go with the biggest discount.
but, i never book packages due to the restrictions and penalties.

you can go to the UO website or Loews and put your dates in to check what the best price is.
that can give you an idea if you are getting a good deal on the package that includes tickets.

i have found over the years to book the room separate and buy the park tickets thru other sources.

when i bought my AP for UO, i no longer needed to deal with buying park tickets.

i have seen a few packages that are a decent price for someone that is doing a one time visit.

reread your questions and i missed one.

you can't double stack discounts at the darkside.

if you book an AAA package, it would include a discount.
can't add another discount onto that one.

how many days are you staying onsite?
are you getting a package that includes a 4 night stay and 2 sets of 4 day ticket passes?

what dates in august are you staying onsite?
i think the last week of august has the cheaper room rates.
i can't answer the question you have about "is $1000 plus 2 sets of 4 day park tickets" a good deal.

room rates vary on dates and rate increases for rooms over the weekend.
m-th rates would be cheaper as no weekends involved.
