AAA package for Swan and Dolphin

I was just wondering if anyone has booked an actual package for a stay at the swan and dolphin through AAA. I've read alot of post and it seems most just book a room only using the AAA rate, however I like the benefits a AAA package gives (200 disney dollars ) and other perks like the AAA diamond card. But I also signed up for SPG emails and specials along with the SPG membership and as soon as my card comes I'm going to add the AAA membership # to it. So I guess what I really would like to know is do you think my AAA travel person will be able to note this info on my reservation so I can qualify for an upgrade once arriving and if I happen to get an email notifying me of a better rate or special that's better than AAA's do you think they will be able to incorporate that into my package from AAA, thus hopefully saving money on the overall package. I'm sorry if this sounds confusing

I haven't booked a AAA package at the Swan Dolphin, but I have looked at their Disney vacation packages before. You'll have to compare the cost of the package, taking into account the $200 Disney Dollars, vs. the cost of a room-only AAA reservation to see if the package is a better deal. If you or your spouse is a government employee, a teacher, a nurse, or an annual passholder - you might qualify for a lower rate than AAA. I would call the Swan/Dolphin reservations department directly to ask about any discounts you might qualify for: 888-828-8850. A room-only reservation is much easier to cancel at the last minute than a package.
