Our TA just let me know she reduced our July 2005 rate at Poly concierge garden view from $457 to $388/night with AAA. Good start..now hopefully AP rate will be out before next July!

I'm not sure if all AAA's nationwide charge the same membership fees, but here in Southern CA, you are charged $64.00 for a new membership (that covers just one person) and if you want to add another to the account (like a spouse), it's an extra $21. After that year is up, you have to renew again and pay another fee for everyone on the account if you decided to continue with AAA. But, I believe for the renewals, they drop the $20.00 new member fee they charge you initially as part of the $64 I quoted above.
As far as the amount of discount you receive at WDW, I believe it depends on which season you book for- value, regular, peak, etc. The discount runs from 10-20 % off per night, depending on that particular season. Oh, and from what I understand on this board, you can only get AAA discounts on room-only reservations, not on packages. But, if that's wrong, someone please correct me. To give you an example, I just booked a room-only reservation for the first week of April 2005 at the POFQ hotel and got $30.00 off a night with my AAA discount. It went from $194.00/night for a water-view room to $164.00/night with the discount.
Will be giving Disney a call this week and get my ressies for next year. Hoping to get the AP rate or at least a discount code, but this is a good start.
Regarding AAA, it costs $48 a year in MA for a single membership.
