AAA more than booking with CR?

Hi...I'm a bit confused and think I might be missing something (as usual). I justed called AAA to price AKL savannah view for 1/2-1/14/06 with 8 day park hopper plus tickets and dining. I got a price of $3676 from AAA and have a $3658 price from central reservations. Any idea what I might have messed up? I thought I'd save a couple hundred dollars by going through AAA.

Not sure exactly, but one reason that you might not be seeing the big savings through AAA is that there are a limited number of rooms available for the AAA rate and it's possible that there are no more available for your dates.

AAA will not tell you this. They will simply give you a quote for what is available because they can book you for rack rate or the AAA discounted rate. It makes no difference to them.

Also...in most instances, they tend to quote with the insurance...which is what they did to me. I had already booked a rate with Disney using the AAA discount and then went to AAA to see what they could get me and they were slightly higher. When I asked why, they told me that it was because of the insurance.

I would just call AAA again and tell them what you got through CR and ask them why they are higher.

When we were pricing DL packages earlier this year, AAA actually quoted us a price of $500 more for a package with fewer perks incldued. We booked directly with Disney, saved, and received more inclusions.

I just got a quote that was a lot higher from AAA than it was to go directly through Disney. I was not impressed with what they had to offer me.
