hi all, iwas wondering how to get a AAA membership? i have a DC membership but they are closing. do youu save more with AAA?

They have a web site you can find by a search engine . Or call a local office from your phone book . Also if you have a entertainment book there is a discount coupon for 50% off memebership fee.(San Diego book has 1 for auto club of southern Cal.) If you live here send me your address AS I am already a memeber . Also at our local fair they always have a booth with discounts . Good luck Doreen

If you type AAA.com into your browser, it will automatically forward you to the AAA site. From there you can type in your zip code and it will forward you again to your local area site. I just joined. The Disney discounts are similar to those offered at the Disney club. In addition, your card also entitles you to one free towing/year if you should need roadside assistance. It also serves as a bond card if you get pulled over - so the auto safety/savings help if you ever need it! Also, you can get discounts on hotels, rental cars and airfare through AAA. We just purchased airfare for $150 per person round trip (after all the taxes) from Chicago to Orlando. This price even beat Southwest and ATA's sales! We received paper tickets within about 2-3 days of our reservation.

Yes, unfortunetly Disney Club is closing but not for another 15 months.

But you can actually get a discount on your AAA memebership with your DC card.

just today i received an offer in the mail from AAA, 52.00 yr, free spouse membership for one yr, membership fee (15.00) waived, one free mth, plus pocket edition road atlas.

i'm joining, plus i think i will join DC sometime this mth or next, since i'm ordering AP's and planning two trips next yr.

can you get discounts on AP's thru AAA?

We saved enough on our January trip to pay for our years membership to AAA. That does not even count our second vacation in July and several week-end quickies other places. We also drive and like having the roadside service. We have also in past years had to use the towing service.We find AAA very cost effective for us.

As far as I know you can only get hoppers through AAA, the type and prince, is probably determined by which "branch" of AAA you belong to (which is determined by where you live)

marn913, just wondering how you get discounts with AAA on your airfare? Do you book throught AAA? Or do you book throught the airline and give them your AAA number? thanks...amy

On Chicago's AAA website they have a section for searching for airfare and rental cars etc... The rental car prices were not that great - they only showed Hertz which is the AAA favored company - and they were pretty high even with the AAA discount. But, the airfare section was great - it gives you a list of different prices for flights and then you choose the price and flight times that you prefer!
