AAA Jan 2008- Only $2 Discount?????

I just booked our Jan 15-22 trip with AAA last night. We are part of a Grand Gathering group of 13. When I priced out my family's package and my parents on Disney website and compared it to AAA... we each only saved $2 !!!!

My family:

Of course she didn't have the new 2008 book yet and I haven't received my itemized statement either. I really dislike our AAA agent but there are no other choices available. She is suppose to be a Disney specialist but I always end up explaining all the new "specials" to her. I tried to call the main AAA phone number for our state but I always get routed back to our local branch office! Grrrrr.

Tell me something has to be wrong here?! AAA has always saved me close to $100.

And for what it's worth, you can book your package with any AAA agent you want, you do not have to use the one located near you.

I have booked my January packages with AAA each year for 5 years. I always save $100 or more by booking through AAA.

There have been a few times when my agent has called to get a quote. She will ask for a quote "without travel insurance" and they will sometimes put it on there anyway. Travel insurance costs an extra $60 per adult so this really adds up if you didn't want it.

Call your agent back. Make sure that travel insurance isn't on there (if you don't want it), also make sure you weren't charged for a preferred room. I know at the value resorts, this can also make the price go up.

You should be saving more than a couple dollars. Hope you get it worked out. Good Luck.

AAA during Value Season at Pop Century is 20% discount off the room portion (No discount on tickets). Did you book directly with a AAA agent? The quote is wrong. You need to get them to check or have another agent book it. Good luck!

You can use any AAA agent. You're not allowed to post them here though.

That doesn't sound right to me either. They don't need to have an AAA book (?) to get the discount, they have a special # to call.
