AAA information

Okay, now I need some more info on AAA since I have never used them. I know with CRO if I make a ressie I can change the date, what about AAA? Since DBF's settlement may not be in until this summer I don't want to be stuck with a ressie I can't change. I know that I can call CRO and do a room only with AAA, but packages have to go through AAA. Since I want to do DDP can AAA take over a room only ressie from CRO?

AAA just goes by Disney's cancellation/change policy.

As far as having a room only reservation and then getting a package w/dining-- no matter who you book it through you'll be canceling the room only and starting new with the package. So really you wouldn't need to turn over the room only to AAA. Just have them book you a package and then cancel your room only on your own.

I was under the impression that to get the AAA discount on a package it must be booked by AAA.

That is right. PP meant for AAA to reserve your package and for you to cancel your room only ressie. I think something just got lost in translation.

You can have the AAA agent fax a note over to CRO and have the room only switched to the AAA office at Disney. That is what I did. Well, actually I did it with a package. I booked the package I wanted and then went to my AAA gent's office and she wrote a 2 line note and faxed it to CRO, then the ressie was changed to AAA and the discount taken. I did this because I had a problem the year before, but i had educated my AAA agent enough that she really could have handled it this year.
