AAA includes gratuity ?

I just got my statement back from AAA, and it says that our gratuities are paid for on our DxDP anyone else have this? If it is true I will be reluctant to pay an extra 18-20% in tips if they have already included it. I know they don't normally, but mine says it is included.

They need to keep up with the 2008 plan , 2007 is over!
tips at regular sit down restaurants are not included ...............

Is this something that is from AAA directly or did they just send you Disney brochures? Some others have posted that they received old (2007) brochures in the mail after booking their "free dining" trip.

It has been reported by many on many other threads that Disney has made an "oops" and has released several 07 pamplets for the 08 year. When posters have contacted Disney they have been told that the plan does not include tip or the appz.

I have a Fun Sun Vacations 2008 booklet from the travel agent and it has in small print underneath (what is included in the DDP): Children ages 3-9 must choose from a child's menu if available. Gratuity/service charges included. Reservations strongly suggested.

Disney should be letting all the suppliers know of the change as when I told my travel agent she didn't know that tips weren't included.

Disney's website is the most current as far as the DDP and what is included (that I know of to be official). It has been reported that Disney released the 2008 ddp after the publication date of brimbraums official guide book. I wish that the ddp still included the tips...would save me a few hundred $$ for my trip next month.

According to Disney, in 2008 none of their dining plans include gratuities (except for specific meals/events which include gratuities in the total price).

The deluxe plan did not even exist until 2008 and has never included gratuities.

AAA is sending the wrong info.

I received a packet from Disney yesterday for our upcoming trip and it states that 2008 DxDP does not include gratuity.

I would go with what Disney says.

They totally should...I agree 100%. But not all TA's are created equal. All they have to do is look on the website or get on the dis...we will tell them.

I bought the dining plan through my local AAA office in the fall and they did make sure to say that the tip was not included.
Not all AAA offices are giving out the wrong information

As of now I am assuming that I need to add the tip to every meal except crt. I am sure my AAA rep was mistaken for last years plan and not the deluxe plan that we purchased. Thanks to all for you help in the matter

I just received a packet of info from Disney this week and the brochure states that appetizer and gratuity is included. Now I know that this is not the case, but someone not so Disney informed will not.

I think it is horrible that such a large company as Disney would make such a dumb mistake. People were calling in a few weeks ago asking about the "mistake" and Disney is still sending out the wrong info.

I feel for the people who are not on the Dis boards all the time and will go to the parks thinking that the tips and appetizers are included.
