AAA gets better rooms?

My AAA ta told me that they are "preferred" disney members so i have a better chance of getting my request for connecting rooms at the GF granted if i book through AAA than if i book myself. can anyone confirm or deny this? i am going this august for free dining!

Don't plan on it. Sounds like your AAA TA is pulling your leg.

I don't believe it either. The rooms aren't assigned right away, I understand they aren't assigned until within a week before arrival. And the resort itself assigns rooms according to what they have available.

I think the only time you might be able to guarantee connecting rooms is if your party consists of one adult and a number of minor children.

I called Pop and they said they don't get the reservations till 5-7 days prior so to call then to firm up my requests and I was told that's just what it was. My AAA TA also told me I was guaranteed connecting rooms but not because I booked with AAA. She said it was because of the child adult ratio.I realise they are not going to have an empty connecting room for a night in order that I get one. So it is impossible to guarantee , but I also hear they do a wonderful job of pleasing youand you can always switch rooms as soon as a connecting becomes available.
