Amen brother! It cost us $1200 in fuel to go to the fort in Feb, at $3.69, I don't even want to know what it would be now....

we usually go to the Atlanta fall race, not this year we are traveling with the RV closer to home this year - which does keep the fort on the list. Although as mentioned in another thread we will probably be looking back and saying we should have taken the long trips when gas was only 4.00 a gallon

today gas was $3.75 and diesel $4.65.

I paid $4.89 for diesel, pump would only do $50 on card and that gave me 1/4 tank.

I just did the calculator. They are dreaming!!!! My truck has never gotten the gas mileage they say it will get, and of course pulling the camper it's worse. It takes me 5 tanks of gas round trip. Without the camper it takes 3 1/2 tanks.

At least your truck is in their, if you have a truck that gets gallons per mile they don't list it

Oh, I hate when the pumps do that!! They practically force you to pay at the pump nowadays, and then don't give you enough limit to fill up on. GRRRRRRR!!! Also, my credit card security forces me to use a different card to finish filling up.

They need to change the limit on pumps. Last trip to FL in our Tahoe we couldn't even fill it up without reaching the limit. It is insane!!!! Most credit cards if you use it more then 3 times in a row they lock it up.

Can you go inside and ask them to let you fill it all the way up or does it stop at a certain limit no matter what???


Last time I looked at our gas prices (I ride my scooter whenever I can so I try not to look) it was $3.85 for regular. I think diesel was around $4.89. Crazy!

Nope, if you go in, they want you to give them a $$ amount to run on the card, well, I don't know how much, I just want to fill it up!! If you estimate over, it's a big hassle to credit it back. About the only way to just run it, is if there are two of you. One person goes inside and gets to the register and say, I want to fill up on pump xx and waits at the register while the other person actually pumps. They don't really like to do that either because if the card is declined, they are then stuck also.

That would be a bargain where I live...paid $4.20 yesterday..for regular!
