AAA & Free Dining

So is it a thing of the past to get Free Dining PLUS the AAA discount on the room portion of your package when booking through AAA? I remember doing this several years ago, but my agent seems to think it is either one or the other now.

It is one or the other now. You can't use more than one discount - even AAA.

Disney has never allowed discounts like free dining and room discounts to be stacked, AAA or otherwise.

Wow! It stinks to get old and forgetful! LOL I would have sworn I got this discount, but I just looked back, and no, I didn't. At least I'm not too proud to retract.

I had never given over control of a reservation to a TA before, and I remember now why I did so....but it was not to get double discounts.

Well, i have to kind of disagree...we went in 2005 and they offered free dining WITH discounted rooms on our trip...we got both and tips were included in that!

Oh, and on Disney cruise we got kids sail free and areduced price of $999 per adult and $100 pp OBC for a 10 night Mediterranean...deal of the century!

Can I ask a question? Yes, thanks, LOL. I priced out a AAA package as a member and it was $100 more than right through the website. Also that was a standard room and I asked for a preferred.
Am I missing something?

Well.....something in my mind still says that we all went round and round on these boards about that. Some got it, and some didn't for whatever reason. Maybe I just can't find my final docs. Before I posted this, I would have sworn on a stack of Bibles that I had gotten both in 2005 too.
