AAA - Disney Month?

I'm working on putting together a 9 people trip in Nov. 2006 (3 rooms at a value resort at the beginning of value season) and I've checked all over for quotes (DU, Disney online, AAA). So far, the best quote has been AAA, but not by much (just about $100 per room/party). I'm saddened that this is the best I can find, but I'll take what I can get.

BUT! My local office of AAA mentioned something about having a Disney open house on Jan. 18th. Has anyone been to one of these? Will they reveal any hidden savings to "party goers" Is it worth my time since I'm already very up to speed on Disney attractions/options/etc.? I have the passporter! I'm well informed

I called my local AAA office about their open house and was told that they would just have a Disney "specialist" there to answer questions about WDW. She said there would not be any other discounts or deals available at the open house than what were currently available. I'm not going to waste my time at this one.

Good to know - thanks! I might encourage my disney-virgins to go so they can see first-hand how expensive it is. Maybe if they hear the figures from a Disney specialist they might not freak out too much
