I was wondering what kind of AAA discount I could expect when booking a room at Royal Pacific for next March? Right now the amount is at 279.00. Also what is the cancellation policy on booking on line at the Loews site? Thanks for any help..I am driving myself nuts with all these descions!

I was about to post the same question! We are trying to get the HRH for Thursday, December 1st. We do not belong to AAA but are wondering if we should. Also, DH thinks we get discounts on tickets at Universal and WDW...anyone know about this?

The AAA discount may vary by time of year. We got 20% off at RPR in value season. We bought our tickets through Universal because the 5 for 2 deal was a better deal for us than 3 for 2 for cheaper. We're going to be there for 5 days, this way we can come and go at our leisure.

I just got off the phone with my AAA agent and she called for me and the AAA discounts are not out yet but I went ahead and had her make my reservations for RPH for rack rate and when the discount comes out she said she would make sure it got applied to my reservations. So it looks like we are going to stay on-site at Universal! I sure hope I did the right thing by changing my off site hotel to one on site.

We're going to Universal for 3 nights in August and staying at the HRH.

Our AAA rate was (and still is when I check) $237 a night.

Our AP rate is $179 per night. By saving $60 a night, we've basically paid for our AP. Plus, with an AP there are lots of coupon deals throughout the parks for food and things. (check the universal website for AP details)

We likely won't use the AP again, but it saved us $$$ for sure! (My husband is hoping he'll have business in Orlando this year - wishful thinking, so he'll use the pass again as it'll be in his name!) You even get savings on things like refillable mugs and the refills with an AP! :flower:

I have a reservation for 1st and 2nd of Sept, the AAA rate for then was $159.

Hope you don't mind if I post a question here on the same topic...

We're aiming to stay at HRH on 11/12. AAA rate shows as 224 for std room.

Is that probably as good as it's going to get?? That seems terribly high.

We were there at about the same time last year and rate was about 180 for both AAA and FAN for a Saturday night.

Thanks

I got HRH Dec 9-11 for 183 AAA Rate....That's OUTSTANDING and cheaper than the AP rate!!
