AAA Discounts on long stay?

I recently booked POFQ for 15 nights (aug 16-31).

When I called, I was told that AAA discounts were unavailable. I was somewhat surprised by this.

Is it likely that the reason for this is the length of the stay booked? Would I have more luck if I called and tried to get the stay split into a 7/8 night stay or even 5/5/5 night stays?

Or should I just call back and ask again about AAA discounts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It is my understanding that AAA discounts are available for stays of up to 14 days. I would assume you could get the discount for 14 of your 15 days, at least. But call back and check it out to see if this is the case.

I would call back, I'm not sure if the rates are unavailable because they are sold out for the timeframe you are looking into or if they simply haven't been issued yet. I'm betting on the sold out option. Ask if other hotels have available rooms using the AAA discount. While your at it, ask if it helps to split your stay. You may end up getting a few nights with the discount, and that's better than nothing! If you don't get the answer you were hoping for, keep calling back. People change there reservations all the time, so something may open up.
