AAA Discounts for Room Only

I was never asked to see my card last year at check-in and I never even thought of it!! (Had mine right in my wallet.) I know lots of other people have posted here that they have been asked to see the card at check-in so I would certainly keep it handy. :)

Like everything else, I think AAA discounts have been abused. We have been asked to show our card the last two stays. It also says to have it with us on our hard copy of the ressie. I do think it also depends on the individual checking you in. I would just leave your card in your wallet as that is probably where it is anyway.:)

I'd have it in my wallet, next to my ID (you don't want to leave it home). They don't always ask, but the front desk does have the right to revert your AAA discounted room back to full price if you don't have your card with you.

Paper-clip (or otherwise removably-fasten) your AAA card to your driver's license now. That's the most sensible place for it anyway, since the primary purpose of an AAA membership is roadside assistance and ideally you wouldn't be on the road without your license - and since you'll need your license at the airport, well, keeping those two cards together at all times ensures that you'll always have your AAA card... or that you'll repeatedly bury your license in your luggage... :)

I have never been asked to show my card but I always have it with me just in case!

I've used AAA twice, the first time, I wasn't asked. The second time, I was asked. No big deal. Like others, I keep my AAA card in my wallet which I do carry when I travel (I normally do not take my purse). Like another poster stated I think that AAA rates have been abused. I know that AAA prices vary, but in the mid-west its only $52 a year - nothing really. It pays for itself your first trip to Disney. Not counting the FREE travelers checks, the FREE passport picture I recently took, and the just in case I need them factor. IMO, AAA is worth the investment.

I have been asked and also not asked so it really depends. I wouldn't risk it though and make sure it is somewhere you can produce it if they do ask.
