Please forgive me if this has already been posted or if it belongs somewhere else like the Budget Board, but I thought it would be most useful here.
We had our first trip to Universal this past week (Sun-Wed). Late in the second day we were in Honey Dukes and asked one of the workers if they had Pumpkin Juice when she just mentioned that they give a 10% AAA discount and that most every shop in IOA and US also did so, including on merchandise. She did say that the outside carts do not give the discount. I knew about the discount on Butterbear in the tavern, but not everywhere else.
You must have your card with you as not only was I asked for it, but it was often swiped like a credit card. After we learned this we asked any time we made a purchase if they give a AAA discount and some places did and some didn't. For example, at City Walk, Moe's does; Panda Express does not. We even received a discount on our last minute gifts purchased at the US shop at the airport.
While 10% isn't a major discount, it really added up (especially once my kids saw those wands and both I and my one daughter were picked at Olivander's - since the wand picks the wizard, we just had to buy them, and one for my other daughter of course!).
