Do you get Discounts at stores and resturants using your AAA Membership card? I am not talking about that AAA Diamond discount card you need at WDW just your basic run of the mill membership card.

May 2006 will be myself and my DW's first time to Universal Studios.

It will be our families first trip to Universal as well. We will be there this may. I was thinking about purchasing a AAA membership for use at Universal.

If you are interested in staying on-site, your regular AAA membership may get you a discount at the on-site hotels (depending on availability). You can also get a AAA discount on park admission, gift shop purchases and many restaurants.

I asked this question on a previous post as well. You may want to look under dining. I understand that you can get at/up to a 10% discount at many restaurants and locations through out the parks.

We are not staying onsite. I purchased our tickets through the universal website and found them to be the same price that AAA was advertising. That said, I was able to get a nice AAA discount for a two-day car rental. So I think the membership is probably worth it.

We have a basic AAA membership card. We got a 10% discount on our meal from Circus McGurkus (Seuss Landing), and I'm pretty sure we would've gotten one on our meal from The Enchanted Oak Tavern (The Lost Continent).

We were there in 2003, and I got an AAA 10% discount at eating places and the gift shops. Just pull out your card every time you make a purchase at Universal! I am not aware that it has changed. As for tickets, I believe there is a discount if you purchase admission at the ticket window, but it may just be for 1 day tickets.

i use my AAA at universal for every trip i make there.

miss 40 gave the 411 on the great discounts there.

you can go to the AAA travel website and find out more info there or call you agent office.

i think you said you were not staying on site.

you can set up a AAA discounted trip to universal that has tickets, off site hotel and car much cheaper than doing it all separate.

in last months AAA living magazine that is mailed out to its members, it had the info and code for the discount for universal.
this month they have the coding for free child ticket when buying an adult park ticket and free food for kids. its in the beginning of last months mag.

Thanks for the replys... We are staying offsite but we are booked at Saratoga Springs using our DVC points so Hotels aren't really an issue at all of us. I will check into last months AAA Living, I have it somewhere at home :)
