AAA discount??

I keep reading about these AAA discounts(about 10-15%). Has any one actualy joined AAA just to get a discount at Disney? Is it worth it? How much to become a member? How far in advance can you book with AAA? Can you make payments on it like you can with Disney? Sorry so many questions.

I did just that! I joined AAA just for the Disney discount. It cost $57 for a one year membership for me and my husband. I booked a trip for May 2006 about 10 days ago and saved over $450! We are staying at the Poly concierge for 9 nights.

We did the same thing! Ours cost $40 for 2 people. They were running a special. haven't booked anything yet. But the quote for a 6 night package at a moderate resort saved us about $311 during regular season. We are planning on going in June 2006. I think the payment plan is about the same as Disney.

Yes you can make payments on it and it usually pays for the cost of the AAA and then some, besides with the roadside service its a pretty good deal.

Here is how the discounts go:
20% off value and moderate resorts for check-ins during value season
15% off deluxe resorts for check-ins during value season

15% off value and moderate resorts for check-ins during regular season
10% off deluxe resorts for check-ins during regular season

The same 15%/10% I believe applies during peak season and no discounts for check-ins during holiday season

Don't forget, the benefits don't stop with Disney...go to their website and look at all the ways you can save above and beyond the original purpose of having help when your car breaks down. With their special now, we saved $20 in joining and I know we'll save at least the $50 fee over the course of the next year since I travel out of town a lot anyway.

AAA...it's a good thing.

Within 3 weeks of joining AAA, my car went into the ditch & I had to be pulled out....AAA covered the whole thing...then two weeks ago my tires went flat in the driveway, and they came and filled them up so we could drive it to the mechanic (would have towed it, but we picked filling the tires)...again, all covered.
So it's MORE than paid for itself, even without the Disney discount.
