AAA discount

Good morning everyone! I've read a lot about people using AAA to get a discount at the Fort. I'm considering buying the RV type membership, so we have it during our trip this Christmas. It's fairly expensive= between 100-200 if I remember correctly. My first question is would it save me enough money off our site to be worth it? Is it off just the site, or the entire package? (we have 7 day tickets for all 6 of us as well) Our total package was about $3500.

My second question is: do we get a membership card, and THEN call and give Disney that number? Or how do they know you actually have a membership- do you send them a copy of the card?

And my third question: do they even give a discount during busy times like Christmas?

AAA is room discount only (between 10 and 20%) , not packages. You can also buy tickets through AAA at a discount.

You show your card at check-in.

Busy season is blacked out from AAA discounts.

Denise is right.

There are a limited number of sites that can be discounted. Once they are all claimed/reserved, the discount is no longer available even if you are asking for the same type of site on the same dates when other people got a discount.

So the best chance to get a discount is to call early/well in advance to book your site and ask if a discount is available. However, no matter when you do book (even close in to your travel date), still ask because folks here do score a discount sometimes.

We've gotten an AAA discount little bit more than half the times we've been to the Fort. Given that and the other hotel/entertainment discounts we incur through the year, it just about pays for itself (but we have the standard membership and not the RV).
