I heard a rumor (someone told my wife who told me) that you can get a AAA discount on meals at WDW. Is this true? If so, how much is the discount and is it only valid at TS?

TIA

If you book a Disney package with AAA, you will receive a Diamond Card. Here are some details about the savings/locations taken from the AAA website:

10% off food and non-alcoholic beverages at Wolfgang Puck® Express (limit six guests per party), Fulton’s Crab House, Portobello Yacht Club, Planet Hollywood®, Bongos Cuban Café ™ and Wolfgang Puck® Café, all located in the Downtown Disney® area.
10% off food and non-alcoholic beverages at Funnel Cake Carts at American Adventure in Epcot®, Disney’s BoardWalk entertainment district, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.
20% off food and non-alcoholic beverages at The Outback Restaurant at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel
15% off food and non-alcoholic beverages at House of Blues® (limit six guests per party) and Earl of Sandwich® Restaurant in the Downtown Disney area.
20% off on lunch and non-alcoholic beverages at Fulton’s Crab House and Portobello Yacht Club located at Downtown Disney Marketplace.
20% off dinner at Traders Island Grill at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel (includes food and beverages consumed while at dinner; all guests must be on one check)
20% off food and non-alcoholic beverages at Garden Grove, Gulliver’s Grill, Kimono’s, and Palio’s (located at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel); Fresh Mediterranean Market and Cabana Bar & Grill (located at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel)

CarolinaBlue, you rock.

Unfortunately I am not booking a package through AAA and I don't plan on eating at many of those restaurants anyway. I appreciate the answer though.

Maybe you were thinking of Universal's City Walk? Some of the TS places there do offer a discount (10%, I think) for AAA members.

Also, we were in Disneyland in January this year and they gave us a discount (10% I think) at the Plaza Inn on Main Street USA/Hub Area. We did not have a AAA package booked, we were just members. The CM at the podium asked if we had AAA, we said yes, and there was the discount. I wish they did this in the parks at WDW.
