AAA Discount & Dining Plan

I know this has been answered many times before, but I haven't been able to get the search function to work for days.

I have booked a room with a AAA discount through Disney. If I decide to add the dining plan later, will I still get the AAA discount on the room? Or, do I have to go through AAA to do this? Thanks for having patience with me!

You have to go through AAA to get the discount w/ dining package.

Some of the AAA TAs add extra fees or cancellation terms. Many don't. You don't have to use your local AAA TA. Check before you book.

If you plan to make that change you will want to do it soon instead of later. I booked a room only at AAA rate then decided to change to the package through my local AAA office. No problem right? Wrong! The rooms were "sold out" for the AAA discount and I was unable to transfer my first booking to the AAA agent to get the same room class. It was a huge price increase because of the code being full.
Just thought you might like to know, I was really disappointed and wanted to sav you the same trouble.
