I believe you can get this pass if you buy your park tix through AAA. The tix cost a bit more than undercover tourist. Is the AAA parking pass worth the few extra bucks??

Also, they don't have a base + water park ticket. They only have base, base+hopper and premium so, if I get the base through AAA, will I have a problem upgrading to the base + water park thru Disney when I get to my resort?

It has always been worth it to us. But we have 2 kids under 2. Basically being able to walk into the park instead of folding up 2 strollers and riding a tram has made the pass very valuable. We have found it most valuable at Epcot and Animal Kingdom. The lots are very close to the entrance. If you have older kids and don't mind riding the tram, I would say it probably isn't worth it. But if you have kids in strollers, I would purchase the AAA tickets in a heartbeat! HTH!

We will be using the AAA parking pass for our upcoming trip....I posted this question sev. months ago....everyone said it was very conv. at all parks except MK. Something about walking to monrail ramps....

I dont understand why you couldnt get water park add-on, we have it for our upcoming trip with AAA.....we have 4 day base and 3 day fun pass (water parks, Disney quest, pleasure island etcs.).

I think every AAA office is different. Our local one offers only 3 or 6 days. They do base, base + hopper and base + hopper + water park but not base + water park. So you CAN get the water park but only if you get a hopper too.

Every time we go, we say we are not getting hoppers and every time we end up getting them. They are unnecessary (for us) and expensive but they do make planning alot easier!!

We used it last trip (11/05) and will be using it again this Nov. We booked our whole trip through AAA, and I thought having the pass was worth it (kids were 7 and almost 4).

With MK, the area in the TTC is as pretty much as close as it gets (parking wise) to the Monorail or Ferry - but you still have to walk. We ended up using Disney Transportation most of the time to MK from CBR. This year we are at WL, so we will have the boat or bus direct to MK :)

At MGM, the spots are close/at the end of the aisle to the Tram, but you still need to take a Tram.

EPCOT and AK (especially AK) you park close to the entrance.

Keep in mind, the availability & number of AAA spots can vary - and depending on the time of day you arrive at the park, may not be available at all.

Hope this helps.

Basically, the question to me is whether the parking saves you time or steps.

I've not used the parking at AK, but did at each of the other parks. MK wasn't worth it, still a hike to the TTC. I prefer just taking resort transportation, or the parking lot tram.
Epcot seemed OK -

However, in any park, if you don't mind the tram, you will do less walking that way than with the AAA parking. If you have to deal with strollers, that might be a different matter. I enjoy walking, but not in a hot parking lot or after hoofing it all day in the park!

I will be corrected if in error, but I do think you have to book a trip with AAA travel, not just a ticket purchase. If incorrect, I will be corrected.

Technically you are correct, you need to book a package with AAA to get the parking pass.

But, they will give them out sometimes if you ask.

I ordered just the tickets through the AAA website, and they sent the parking pass along with the tickets. On our last trip, we bought the tickets at the AAA office and they gave us the parking pass there as well, so I think that it's a pretty good shot that you'll get the parking pass if you buy tickets through AAA.
I originally went to the AAA office last month to buy passes, but they didn't have the ones I wanted right there. (7day hopper + water parks and more) They offered to order them for me and said I could pick them up in about 4-5 days, but I opted to order online and pay the $8.95 shipping ( the closest office is about 1/2 hour drive).
My suggestion to original poster--check online for available tickets. There are more available there than at the AAA offices.
