AAA Diamond Parking Pass

The AAA Diamond Parking Pass in our AAA area comes ONLY if you purchase a package through AAA.

It comes with our name printed on it. It also includes the dates of our vacation - also printed.

Why would anyone want to sell or purchase a parking pass in someone else's name with expired dates? Maybe it is different in other areas, but this is true for PA & DE AAAs.

I just want to throw this info out. Just because you have a AAA parking pass doesn't mean you'll get to use it. The parking may be in use for handicap overflow and once at DHS there was a special event that precluded using the pass for some odd reason. If this happens an attendant will direct you back to general parking.

For those of you buying used AAA passes, you DO realize you still have to pay for parking unless staying onsite or an AP holder? I guess I just don't get the value:confused3 and I've used one before!

We used one last trip, it expired at the end of the year, no names or anything on it. We thought it was useful, we are rope droppers and got to park in the front of the lots at all the parks/ ttc. We will probably use one for future visits.

We are also rope droppers and never had issues with getting a spot. In the evenings there's usually a lot of open spots too. We never go during busy times. The black out dates are pretty much the days around holidays- New Years, Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Mine have always been blank where the name field is, weather given to us by AAA, when bought on Ebay or passed on by a fellow Dis'er :thumbsup2

Thinking about getting one of these.

We will driving in from an off site resort with one handicap parking, i would assume the VIP will be good to stay close to where they are parking so they don't have to wait for us to take the tram in?

Okay...and yet again.....the vast majority of AAA parking permits we are seeing are now dated, with vacation dates, as well as the parties name. There may be different parking permits out there, but these are the ones most are getting from their AAA offices.
And again, they do specifically say that they are not for sale and are non-transferable.
They are a perk of using AAA travel services. I'm just not sure why anyone would think it is okay to buy one from someone else on eBay, and then use it. You didn't use AAA in any sense.

I'm relatively certain the DIS guidelines prohibit posting information that would assist anyone getting around WDW rules...

Obviously I misremembered. We pay the $$ for an envelope with my name on it to be sent to my home. Nothing more.

However, each time it happened to have this amazing pass. Being that it is non-transferrable I immediately call the person who the pass was issued to and arrange for them to ride with us into the parks. Luckily, every time we've done this the original person met us so that we could benefit from their use of their pass. We are incredibly lucky.

We bought my girls park ticket from AAA's website right before the price went up. It came with the AAA diamond parking pass.

I'm not going to quote the rest of this post, but I did just want to observe there's a big difference between humor and sarcasm, and that it's fortunate the Moderators on this board have a high tolerance for both.

First of all....there is only ONE moderator on this board...silly head!!! Second?? I actually thought it was kinda funny!! Unethical, yeah. But still funny.
Nothing we say here is going to stop this practice...nothing. I've been preaching to the choir (so to speak) about this for years. And still, people will do what they want. All we can do is give them the correct, official policy.

I just used the AAA diamond pass last week. It was given to me at my local office when I purchased my park tickets there. No names or dates on it. We stay on Disney prperty and normally use the Disney transportation. I can honestly say due to the rain we ran into we used it to park at Epcot. It would have been easier to just utilize the bus. It was not very close to the entrance at all. The only plus was not having to wait for the bus in the downpours which is why we opted to drive. At the AK we did find it was helpful but that being said there are only about 20 diamond spaces and when they are gone you will just receive a regular parking spot. We did not drive to MK or HS. I would NEVER buy this from anyone on Ebay. For free and a small perk it's fine but certainly not worth paying for and as someone else mentioned unless you are staying at a Disney resort you still have to pay the $14.00 daily parking fee.
