AAA card

Hi

I've read on the US boards of numerous discounts and offers involving the AAA card.


I have been led to believe that the UK AA is an affiliate/associate of the AAA but I can't find anything on their website.


Does anyone know if we, in the UK, can get this card? And if so - where from?

We used to get an AAA 'card' (actually a piece of paper) from our AA office, but were told in the US that we could get the same AAA benefits by just showing our UK AA card.

It's worth calling the AA to check, but I think you only need to show your UK AA card thesedays.

I rang the AA and asked for the American pack that is supposed to give you maps and the like, but when it arrived all there was was a little booklet wth some pretty useless vouchers in. Really dissapointed. But I gather that although they used to issue AAA cards, the UK AA card is now sufficient to ensure you get the same discounts as AAA members in the US.
