AAA Card as Prepaid AMEX

Hi - has anyone used the Prepaid AMEX feature of the AAA card to try to get the complimentary photo on the Photo Connect package? I'm wondering if I pay for the package with that, if it "counts" as a AMEX card to get the free photo, or if it has to be a regular AMEX charge card?
