AAA/CAA discount rate?

Has anyone booked a room during value season at a value resort using an AAA/CAA discount? If so how much was the discount? Regular rate 77US/nt plus tax. Mousesavers report discounts between 10% and 20%. We will be booking for at least 10 nights.

We are going on Feb 9th and we got a 15% AAA discount on CSR (a moderate) and we were quoted a 20% discount on the value resorts. BTW, we are doing the MYW w/dining which you can get with the room discount if you book directly thru AAA.

We've booked during value season using a AAA rate and I think we got about a 15% discount. We were lucky though and got to change the room rate again when AP codes came out.

I'm very grateful that we initially got to use our AAA rate when first booking b/c every little bit helps!

I think I will book room only with an AAA/CAA rate and then hopw for a general discount code to become available. I don't think an AP could be justified though:
value hotel /value season based on 77US/nt rack rate - 11 nights

AAA - discount between 10 - 20 % (7US/nt - 14 US/nt) = 77US - 98 US total discount
AP rate - based on last year AP value season rate of 49 US/nt = 28US/nt discount = 11* 28 = 308 US total discount

If I were to buy an AP I would buy one for one of the kids (356 US) instead of the MYW base 10 day ticket = approx. 200 US.

Based on this would I save more with the AAA rate or should I get an AP for one of the kids?
