AAA and the free ticket upgrade

Just to confirm - You can't use the free ticket upgrade (Park Hopper & Water Park) combined with a AAA package discount can you? Even if you go through your AAA agent? Just wanting to confirm.

Unfortunately they won't let you "stack" discounts - meaning if you have a AAA discount on the room you can't combine it with any other discounts. We have a AAA pkg. and the price for it is exactly the same (they applied the free ticket upgrade discount) as the same pkg. thru Disney with the free ticket upgrade . We lost our AAA room discount but for us the savings were a bit more giving that up and using the ticket offer. For some the AAA room discount may be more than the free ticket upgrade is worth - you just have to compare.

I spoke with my AAA agent yesterday, asked about public code APF (MYW w/DDP), and she said there was some discount applied to the room. I don't know if that's really the case, because I didn't get to price it out, as there is no availability at any resort for my dates.

Best thing to do is know before you call what everything costs at rack rate, piece by piece, so when it's all added together you know if you're REALLY getting a discount. We figured that if we have to forfeit our AAA discount, that ticket upgrade is no real "deal" for us.
